Nini Ltd is committed to producing good quality roses with a social, ethical and environmental responsibility Nini Ltd was purchased in 1996, and the first greenhouses built in 1997. The farm was developed over four years & by Dec 2001, the full 20 hectares was in production. Nini Ltd specializes in high quality roses for the Export Market, earning Kenya valuable foreign exchange and providing jobs for about 650 people. Infra-structural development continues on Nini, with recent construction of reservoirs and a canteen. Quality Assurance Nini Ltd is committed to producing high quality, first grade roses. We have full traceability through-out the production, harvesting and grading chain. All roses are supplied with Quality Assurance & Nini has a state-of-the-art vase-life room to continually monitor this. Accreditations Nini Ltd is audited by several external bodies and has the following accreditations;- KFC Silver MPS A, MPS-SQ MPS GAP BOPP Social & Ethical Nini Ltd complies with the Employment Laws of Kenya, and the KFC and MPS Codes of Practice. We do not hire minors. We supply full PPE for all workers. We transport workers to and from work. We have a clinic with a full time nurse, an ambulance on standby and a doctor visits once a week. We provide housing for senior staff. Nini Ltd has installed a CFC Access ATM, and holds an umbrella account for the staff. Employees are issued with their own ATM card giving them increased financial security and peace of mind. There is a football pitch and six volley ball courts for recreation. The canteen provides a generous daily meal. Environmental Nini Ltd strives in every way it can to reduce water use without compromising quality and to minimize environmental pollution through good agricultural practice. Roughly half the farm is un-cultivated and is maintained as a natural conservation area. The papyrus filter, essential for the lake is left intact. Nini encourages natural flora and fauna, and plants indigenous trees. Giraffes are allowed free access on the farm to browse the trees.
