Production at Schreurs Holland

In our greenhouse, we grow new varieties of roses and mini gerberas for introduction into the market. This adds value for our clients by generating information about the growing of the flowers, their commercial and transportation characteristics in a real market situation, and also creates initial demand for these flowers.

Production at Schreurs Naivasha

Schreurs Naivasha produces various roses in Kenya, which are traded under the name Schreurs Flowers B.V. Located near Lake Naivasha at the heart of the Great Rift Valley, our farm covers 20 hectares and stands at an altitude of 1,900m above sea level.

At present we are growing the Marie-Claire!, Aqua-Girl!, Essandre! and Revue varieties there, with the entire production sold at the FloraHolland auction in Aalsmeer.

Operating our own production farm with extensive test facilities allows us to experience all aspects of being a grower. So we face the same problems as our clients. Knowing and dealing with these issues enables us to test our new varieties in detail, so that the new roses we commercialise really meet the demands of the client.

New varieties for extended testing

At Naivasha, we have 2.3 hectares producing new varieties for extended testing. By selling these through the FloraHolland auction in Aalsmeer, Schreurs gathers information about the growing of the flowers, their commercial and transportation characteristics in a real market situation and also creates initial demand.
